  • 1. Do I need to update?

    It is optional. If you can print checks from your computer with no problem, you do not need to update ezCheckPrinting and virtual printer.

    Note: If you plan to transfer ezCheckPrinting version 5 or 4 (purchased before 2015) to a new computer, you need to purchase the new license. ezCheckPrinting version 5 and 4 are not compatible with Windows 10. You can continue to run it on Windows 7, Vista and XP computers.

    2. What is the new with version 9 (for Windows)

    Per clients' requests, we improved ezCheckPrinting version 9:
  • Updated for QuickBooks 2023, QuickBooks online
  • Updated for ezCheckPrinting multiple-user network version.
  • More form level help links.
  • Bank set up is more flexible for foreign checks and special US checks.
  • Some fixes for the check printing issues with some computer/printer settings


  • 3. Is it free to update ezCheckPrinting and virtual printer

    If you purchased ezCheckPrinting version 9, you will get updates for version 9 for free. If you purchased version 8 or previous version, you need to purchase the new license key to use the latest version.

    4. How to purchase the new license key

    We offer $5 discount to previous clients. You can contact us to receive the special purchase link. We need to retrieve your previous order. Please list the email or the Amazon ID or the transaction ID in your purchase link request message.

    5. How can I know my ezCheckPrinting version?

  • 5.1 Check the current installed version

  • Click the Start button , click on Control Panel, click on Programs, and then click on Programs and Features. You will see the version number of both ezCheckPrinting and virtual printer.

    6. Steps to update ezCheckPrinting and virtual printer

  • Step 6.1: As a precaution, back up database.

  • Step 6.2: Close ezCheckPrinting application and download the latest version.

  • Step 6.3: Uninstall virtual printer

  • Step 6.4: Download new virtual printer

  • Step 6.5: Register the new license if you used the different version before.


  • 7. How to rollback to previous version if I installed the new version by mistake?

  • Step 7.1: As a precaution, back up database.

  • Step 7.2: Uninstall the current version of ezCheckPrinting.

  • Click the Start button , click on Control Panel, click on Programs, and then click on Programs and Features. Select ezCheckPrinting from program list, and then click Uninstall.



  • Step 7.3: Download the previous version of ezCheckPrinting.


  • Rollback virtual printer
  • Step 7.4: Uninstall the current version of virtual printer.

  • Click the Start button , click on Control Panel, click on Programs, and then click on Programs and Features. Select ezCheckPrinting QuickBooks Virtual Printer from program list, and then click Uninstall.
