Does your ezW2Correction software support correcting an EIN incorrectly reported on Form W2 or Form W3? see page 26 General Instructions for Forms W2 and W-3.
According to the IRS publication, when first correcting for the wrong EIN, that incorrect EIN should be entered in box h. While your software supports the manual entry of box h, it also forces the company preset (wrong) EIN into box e. The wrong EIN has to be to entered into the company preset in order to produce the W-2C. This results in the W-3C having the incorrect EIN in box e.
