ezAccounting software makes it easy to print paychecks, pay employees and file tax reports. Here is quick guide about payroll settings.
1. General
1.1 Company settings (company name, tax ID, address…)
Start ezAccounting application, click the top "Company" tab, then click the sub menu "Current Company" to open the company setup screen.
1.2 Pay period (daily, Weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly or monthly)
Start ezAccounting software, then click top menu "Payroll/Employee", then click the sub menu "Payroll Setup" to view payroll setup screen.
1.3 Wage setup
Click the top menu "Payroll/Employee" then "Wage Setup" to view Company Wage Setup screen.
1.4 Report option (by period ending date or by pay date)
Start ezAccounting software, then click top menu "Payroll/Employee", then click the sub menu "Payroll Setup" to view payroll setup screen.
2. Taxes and deductions
2.1 FUTA and SUTA (Federal and state unemployment taxes)
Start ezAccounting and click top menu "Payroll/Employee", then the sub menu "Tax Setup".
2.2 Deduction Set up
Start ezAccounting and click top menu "Payroll/Employee", then the sub menu "Deduction Setup".
3. Check Setup
3.1 Bank accounts setup (routing number, account number, current check number, signature..)
Start ezAccounting software, then click top menu "Banking/Checks", then click "Bank Account Setup" to account select screen. select one account from list and click the Setup button.
Start ezAccounting software, then click top menu "Banking/Checks", then click "Bank Account Setup" to account select screen. You can specify or remove signature path there.
Start ezAccounting application, click the top "Company" tab, then click the sub menu "Current Company" to open the company setup screen. You can specify/remove company logo path on that screen.
Start ezAccounting software, then click top menu "Banking/Checks", then click "Bank Account Setup" to account select screen. You can specify the current check number.
3.5 Customize check layout
Start ezAccounting software, click the top menu "Company" then "Check Layout" to view check layout screen.
