How to Transfer ez1095 Software to a New Computer

You can transfer ez1095 software from an old computer to a new computer easily.

Step 1: Transfer data

  • Option 1 for business HR: Use database back up and restore functions to move data
  • Option 2 for CPAs: Move data for multiple accounts manually

    • Step 2: Transfer license

    Option 1: Use ez1095 backup feature

    Step 1.1.1: Start ez1095 software then click the top menu "Company Management->Backup Current Company". You can save the backup file to one USB disk or a shared folder on server.

    Step 1.1.2: Download and install the correct version of ez1095 on the new computer



    Step 1.1.3: Start ez1095 on the new computer and restore data by clicking the top menu "Company Management->Restore Company".

    Step 1.1.4: Switch current account to view data by clicking the top menu "Company Management->Select Company"

    Option 2: Move data manually

    Step 1.2.1: backup multiple accounts manually to USB disk

    The default folder for ez1095 is

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ez1095(20XX)

    The database files are .mdb (Microsft Access database) files. You can copy all the .mdb files and backup them to other location manually.

    Step 1.2.2: Download and install the correct version of ez1095 on the new computer.



    Step 1.2.3: Copy the data files from the USB disk to the new computer.

    The default folder for ez1095 is

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ez1095(20XX)

    You can copy all the .mdb files back from the USB disk.

    Step 1.2.4: Switch current account to view data by clicking the top menu "Company Management->Select Company".

    Step 2: Transfer License

    2.1 Click the top menu "License Key" then the sub menu "Input License" to view the key screen

    2.2 Click the button "Unregister to move key" to unregister the license from the current computer



    2.3. Then you can register the same license on a new computer.
