Current ezPaycheck customers can update ezPaycheck for the same year for free.
For example: if you purchased ezPaycheck 2025, you can get all updates for ezPaycheck 2025 for free including 941 update in Feb, W2 W3 update in Oct and 940 update in Dec, 2025. (Note: ezPaycheck 2024 clients need to purchase the new 2025 license to run ezPaycheck 2025.)
Should I update ezPaycheck 2024 to 2025 today?
Please install ezPaycheck 2025 version after you have completed 2024 paychecks!
ezPaycheck 2025 installation will update the tax tables. With ezPaycheck 2025, your 2024 data will carry over and you can print your 2024 W2 & W3 forms. You can still access 2024 paychecks. You can purchase new ezPaycheck 2025 license, and upgrade ezPaycheck 2024 to 2025 version when you are ready to generate 2025 paychecks.
Do I need to update?
Please click the ezPaycheck top menu "help" then "check updates" to check latest updates. If you are using the latest version, you do not need to update again.
Your data should be safe during this process. However, we would like to suggest you backup your company data first!
2.2. Exit ezPaycheck payroll application if it is running on your computer!!!
You cannot uninstall or update ezPaycheck when it is still running on your computer. Please exit ezPaycheck first.
2.3. Uninstall the previous version(optional)
Most of users can skip this step. However, if your computer does not allow to you install the new version directly, you need to uninstall the old version first.
After you install ezPaycheck, you will see the new desktop shortcut on screen.
2.5. Purchase the new license key if you have not.
Note: It is free to update tax rates & forms for the same version.
For example: if you purchase ezPaycheck 2024 version, you will get all updates for 2024 edition for free which includes Form 941 update in Feb, Form W2 & W3 update in Oct and Form 940 update in Dec. However, you need to purchase the new 2025 license to use ezPaycheck 2025.
