1095 XML File: Phone Error and Solution

#1 If you see the repeat phone error on each form, please check the company settings

For example: 'urn:us:gov:treasury:irs:ext:aca:air:ty22:ALEContactPhoneNum' element is invalid - The value 'XXXXXXXX' is invalid according to its datatype - The Pattern constraint failed.

- Start ez1095, click the top menu "Current Company" then "Company Settings".

- Update phone number

- Click the button "Replace Form data" to update this data on each form.

#2 Non repeat error

1) Open 1094C (or 1094B form), check the phone number on the form.

2) Open efile screen, and check the phone number on efile screen.

3) Fix the phone error for the 1095C or 1095B form(s).

- Read XML file data by line number with NOTEPAD application and find the 1095 Form

- Fix the phone issue on that form.

After you fixed the error(s), you MUST generate the XML files with ez1095 software again. Please DO NOT modify XML documents manually!!!
