ezPaycheck Payroll Software: How to Set Up Pre-tax or After-tax Deduction


ezPaycheck payroll software is very flexible. You can set up pre-tax deduction or after-tax deduction easily.

1. Add a new deduction

When you add a customize deduction, you can select the tax option from the Deduction Details screen.

2. To edit the tax option of a pre-built deduction (ie: 401K), you can follow the steps below:

2.1 Click the left menu "Company Settings->Deductions" to open "Company Deduction Setup" screen.

2.2. Click the button behind the deduction to open "Deduction Details" screen.

2.3. Check/Uncheck tax options

2.4. Click the Save button to update changes for the deduction details.

2.5. Click the Save button to update changes for company deduction setup.
