#2: Make the Federal Tax Deposit via EFTPS Site
IRS releases the year-end tax form 940 in December each year. ezPaycheck estimates FUTA based on your ezPaycheck FUTA settings and the current IRS guide. When you make FUTA deposit, please use the value from the tax form if they are different.
If you need to make IRS deposit, please follow this guide
Typically IRS will release the year end Form 940 in Dec. ezPaycheck will be updated when the new form is available.
For example: If you installed ezPaycheck 2018 in Jan. 2018, you will see 2017 Form 940 because you need to file 2017 tax form in Year 2018. We will release the ezPaycheck 2018 updates with new 2018 940 form after IRS publishes it in December, 2018.
You can click ezPaycheck software top menu "Help" then "Check for updates" to view your version for updates. If you are using an old version, you can follow the guide to update your software.
